History: Born to a Barber, his father struggled to pay the bills. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Mantus grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Mantus. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Snagog was born on a far northern plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Sellsword. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Her father taught her the rudiments of the Barber arts, while her mother instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. She inherited a moderately successful company from her father. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She now mingles about in high society.
