Personality: She swings through moods quickly. One moment she is cool and collected, the next she is carried away by passions. She has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: Bethrynna lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She was one of the best in her class, and was picked up by her current employer. History: Her father raised her in a mountain cabin. Pogranix liked to wander the woods near her home when she was young, something she still likes to do at least once a week. She never liked modest clothing or shoes, so she would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and she developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. She now mingles about in high society.

History: His psionic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. His psionic abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

Personality: He is happy with his job as a Unemployed. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. He does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: He was raised in a desert tribe. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and balancing his hectic life and new unemployed responsibilities is difficult
