History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a orcs raid, leaving Alex alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and a deep hatred of orcs

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. Her martial abilities were realized during a raid on her village. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. When Ernest reached his early adolescence his Human mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
