When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. As of late he has set up a hidden staging nest where he ambushes people he hires for escort.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when drow swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and he is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out

Despite her manner, she is extremely passionate and proud of her job, and she prides herself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Shanairla grew up listening to her father's many stories. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Shanairla grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Shanairla. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.
