History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: The child of northern immigrants she idolized her mother. Before the accident, she was one of the most outspoken anti-Halfling activists. She was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Halfling doctor. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day.

History: Katherine was born the youngest of three triplets. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the west were limited. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: Wants to raise her children well.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

History: Eva lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.
