History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. After a long history of fighting, Nelkin and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs.

Personality: She is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. Animals are drawn to her, and she is able to talk to them.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. She always admired psionic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Stableman and was forced into it by her family; and she has comitted a past crime that haunts her to this day

Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

History: She was born in the south. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Elves in Mialee's homeland. Mialee decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: She'd like to take her coworkers down a peg.
