Description: This northern woman's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, she slurs her words together. She is well dressed, constantly wearing a brown suit, yellow shirt, and blue tie. She has styled her red fur well, parting it to the right. Her thin eyebrows rest above her beady hazel eyes.

Personality: She snorts whenever she laughs or is feeling confident. She works hard and plays hard.

History: She was raised in a plains tribe. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the plains to a summer home near a large cave. She would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there. Smoking took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up whip and armor she uses now. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Beneath his sweater he keeps a concealed sickle, just in case, and his gloved hand is found clutching a sickle. His hair is long and silver with streaks of golden, and is pulled back with small brown clips. His beard is golden, braided, and well cared for. He wears large thick round spectacles.

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Thomas abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Thomas was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.

Description: This slender woman stands about 2'10". She is dressed in earthy colors with a white and yellow handkerchief worn on her right side. She has wavy silver hair. She has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. She wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. She passes on several rewards to people in need. She makes a point to leave places better than she found them.

History: Born in the north to a Herbalist, Merla learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. She was one of the best in her class, and was picked up by her current employer. She quickly showed her capability and was soon promoted to a head role. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Halfling artifacts is her passion.

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: A powerful necromancer made him what he is. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Igden embodies much of what other species detest in the Gnomes. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: He was born in a small plains village. In his 14th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 7 years.

Motivation: Further expansion of business; and to be a baker again

History: A powerful slaver made her what she is. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Gnomes in the west were limited. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Motivation: She possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal.

She has a very tight haircut. She was beautiful and young once, which still shows through her age, but it is a faded beauty.

Personality: In the realm of puns, she cannot help herself. She feels obliged to make them. She has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: She was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family Through the years after Delre was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Delre's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: She is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and she feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He has never given up on his dancing dream.
