Description: This man is bedraggled and starved. He wears baggy blue pantaloons and a pastel scarf. He sports a long chestnut beard, and similarly colored long hair. He is very pretty but has cold, dead eyes.
Personality: Erky wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Sorcerer, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... Further he is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.
History: Erky lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Navigator hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.
Motivation: To unite with his brother; and an old rival family wants him found

Description: He is well dressed, constantly wearing a brown suit, black shirt, and red tie. He cuts an attractive figure and his suit of old armor is well cared for even if it is obsolete. With a patchy silver beard and wild silver hair. His eyes are a pleasant hazel.
Personality: He is a jovial happy person, but he is convinced people are living their lives too quickly. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage daughter.
History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Ostracized due to the druidic powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.
Motivation: Wants to raise his children well; and doesn't want to be a spice merchant and was forced into it by his family

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Description: She wears many layers of old clothing at all times. She has relatively dark skin and is very physically imposing due to her abundance of muscles. Her golden hair is slicked back into a classic pompadour. Her eyes are a pleasant amber.
Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. She has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.
History: Shamil was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. Her parents were killed by gnolls in a raid when she was still a young child. The gnolls captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature quarterstaff.
Motivation: To reunite with her absent father; and she's looking for her big break

Description: This northern man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright blue and grey, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. His hair is short and chestnut. His eyes are violet and he is always smoking a pipe.
Personality: He is quiet and unassuming. He ignores others and carries on with his job unassumingly. He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.
History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Pallabar alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.
Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it.

Description: An older woman who prefers to wear fine silks, though has several suits of combat armor for her hunting needs, she is not a threatening figure. She wears her white hair up. Her green eyes lackadaisically let the world flow into them.
Personality: Her voice, at times compared to that of a Nymph, lambasts those who consider themselves "civilized" with snide, belittling remarks; the subtle growl she speaks with growing louder in doing so, one can find it most pronounced, despite the otherwise natural purity of her tone. She loves teas. She is very sensitive about her face. To blow off anger she lifts weights and to control her otherwise explosive temper she works out a lot.
History: She was raised in a island tribe. Nagrette was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Nagrette decided she wanted neither the life of her father nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. Being a Shoemaker kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
Motivation: A deep hatred of gnolls; and she has comitted a past crime that haunts her to this day

Personality: She shows great sympathy to all travelers. She's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. She does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for her. She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.
History: A child with a great deal of music talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. Through the years after Barbena was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Barbena's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She now spends her time doing works of charity.
Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Bookbinder responsibilities is difficult.
