History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He loves teas. He is very sensitive about his face. To blow off anger he lifts weights and to control his otherwise explosive temper he works out a lot.

History: A child with a great deal of singing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.

Personality: He swings through moods quickly. One moment he is cool and collected, the next he is carried away by passions. He cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: Umpen lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Ostracized due to the arcane powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Gnomes became a terror of the countryside. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and he uses money and sex appeal to get what he needs

Personality: She is curt in most of her responses. She prefers to keep her word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. She is fiercely devoted to her father, and views her father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-sister.

History: Mara was raised in a hard working conservative environment. In her 18th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her father impaled in their home, and her mother beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. By chance she met her sister recently and the two have been together since.

She always likes to keep a trick up her sleeve. She likes to fight dirty and will kick and punch below the belt if she feels she even has a chance of losing.

History: The child of western immigrants she idolized her father. Faral liked to wander the woods near her home when she was young, something she still likes to do at least once a week. She never liked modest clothing or shoes, so she would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and she developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: She has comitted a past crime that haunts her to this day; and she feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help
