She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Through the years after Melissa was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Melissa's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She has dedicated herself to building a better village for her children.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes illithids are coming to abduct people. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and a deep hatred of illithids

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Myria isn't afraid of most anything. She has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Halfling unity. Myria enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for her love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: She was born in a small plains village. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: Marry her brother to traveling adventurers.

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. Ostracized due to the martial powers of her oldest sister, she and her siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Gnomes became a terror of the countryside. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
