She has a cruel streak; something she gained from her previous mentor. She harbors resentment against her former mentor.

History: Born in the east her family was never financially stable. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. After a long history of fighting, Barbena and her spouse have recently divorced.

The war was a terrible time for her, and Rose does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: Rose was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Glassblower hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
