History: She was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family Her family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her mother's willingness to do anything to win. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
Motivation: She is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions.

Personality: He is witty, but his monotone delivery comes off as unnerving He works hard and plays hard.
History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Personality: She considers herself the protector of her home. She feels this is her duty and calling. More though she will beg to come along on any journeys. She will attempt to stowaway on any ship she can in the hopes that it will get her further away.
History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. In her journeys she found a malevolent artifact. She wishes to return this artifact and its corrupting influence back to where it came.
Motivation: She is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out; and wants to work out more often

Description: He is a small man, but exceptionally fit. He wears rags and sports a simple walking cane. He wears his red hair down. This black eyed westerner is not easily forgotten.
Personality: Abrasive and pushy, he has a hard time making friends. He seeks to pay back kindness whenever he gets the chance. Whether it be in the form of unwanted serenades or the latest gossip he always seeks to do solids for his friends.
History: Sammal was born in the west. At a young age he loved to build and create. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.
Motivation: Wants to work out more often; and to pay off his debts

Description: His left thumb is blackened and bruised, but otherwise he appears quite healthy. He tends to wear a brown poncho over his likewise colored trousers and shirt. His black hair is drawn into a tight pony tail with a rose scrunchie. His fair skin shows little sign of his aristocratic breeding.
Personality: He believes mankind has become decadent and spoiled by the march of civilization and an end should come to life as we know it. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.
History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He took after his father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting dire rats, the young Erias began to lead the lost caravan. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

He wears his black hair up in a very large beehive style do. He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines gray.
Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He seeks to pay back kindness whenever he gets the chance. Whether it be in the form of unwanted serenades or the latest gossip he always seeks to do solids for his friends.
History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Wrenn was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. He bought a crossbow and has really upped his game hunting, due to his understanding of decoy and ambush.
Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and he has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Joan was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
