History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Her parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when she was still a young child. The dire rats captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. He loves teas. He is very sensitive about his face. To blow off anger he lifts weights and to control his otherwise explosive temper he works out a lot.

History: Sammal was born in the east. At a young age he loved to build and create. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. She is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: She has money and likes to spend it; and she desires power and/or immortality

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Gnomes in the east were limited. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.

Personality: Arannis wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Sorcerer, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... A friendly and beautiful Half-Elf, he is rarely seen without a few beauties around his arms. Though a playboy in all rights, he is no lame duck.

History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the south. He moved out west to avoid the crime he committed. Being a Soapmaker kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: She got into the Junk Dealer business at a young age. Her psionic abilities were realized during a raid on her village. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Junk Dealer for the past few years.
