History: She was born in the north. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Shanairla grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Shanairla. She would ruin relationships and cause injury. She was reprimanded several times before being given her current form and forced to learn humility.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Tharivol grew up listening to his mother's many stories. A gifted student he started as a Sage, but he got bored and became a Barber. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: She was born in the south. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. After months of barely getting by, Rose managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, she made her way to the capital under a new identity.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Through the years after Heward was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Heward's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Heward and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love.

History: Lavinia was born with her mother's beautiful face. Her childhood dream was to be a Seamstress, but she was a colossal failure. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
