History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Oren embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. He is able to fit into much smaller and tighter spaces than normal.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Oren grew up listening to his mother's many stories. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Beggar. He has achieved small success as a Beggar.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes; and he feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world

Personality: She is filled with cunning. She likes to feign weakness letting people think she is weak. She is always in debt, since she spends her money on lavish parties and gifts for friends

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the west were limited. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Ruler and was forced into it by her family.

She quickly showed her capability and was soon promoted to a head role. She's also a talented Engraver, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: Born in the south to a Apothecary, Paelias learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 10 years.

History: Bethrynna was raised in a hard working conservative environment. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. She now owns her own business.

Motivation: She has a crush on the local Stylist; and balancing her hectic life and new unemployed responsibilities is difficult

Personality: She is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. When triggered she is a bloodthirsty maniac, stopping at nothing and killing everything for almost an hour.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
