He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her mother. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Uthemar was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. Some 3 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Uthemar never married again.
