History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. In her 14th year, her parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Trail alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Varg hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. At a young age his mother died while driving off some dire rats. His father being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in axe use. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Varg was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the dire rats.
