History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Thava grew up listening to her father's many stories. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She has never given up on her writing dream.

He carries with him a set of lances, each one with a topaz on the hilt. He only wears one on his belt and the other on his back. He has styled his chestnut hair well, parting it to the left. His face is scarred and worn.

Personality: Anthony wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Sorcerer, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. History: Lucan was born in the west. At a young age he loved to build and create. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Lucan has worked very hard to control his curse. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: She was born in the east, but her parents moved at a very young age to the west. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Motivation: An old rival family wants her found; and she is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs

History: The child of northern immigrants she idolized her mother. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered singing. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. Energy wise he seems alert and responsive.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. His first spouse was a Courier, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
