History: A powerful necromancer made her what she is. Hethress was a troubled youth. History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. When Veloptima reached her early adolescence her Gnome mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Nelkin embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the north. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the north were limited. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Through the years after Conrad was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Conrad's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
