She saw this and took pride in her mother's willingness to do anything to win. She was granted druidic powers by her dying sister.

Personality: He likes to make people angry or surprised. A fanatic, his devotion to his small selection of gods is unquestionable. He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: Born to a Marshal, his mother struggled to pay the bills. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Soapmaker hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants revenge against illithids.

He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of illithids may trigger it at times.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. River was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Glassblower responsibilities is difficult; and she is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions
