He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. Personality: His voice, at times compared to that of a Nymph, lambasts those who consider themselves "civilized" with snide, belittling remarks; the subtle growl he speaks with growing louder in doing so, one can find it most pronounced, despite the otherwise natural purity of his tone. He has a habit of throwing himself into exceedingly dangerous situations.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Ûshbaka was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the dire rats.

Her partner is her best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. She will do just about anything if she becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this she is easily convinced.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Her blue eyes peer out from beneath her Stetson brown hat.

Personality: She seems absolutely devoid of it. She stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. Shadow is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her brothers into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.
