History: Varis lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His father worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled father and took his father's old job. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

History: His necromantic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. Ostracized due to the necromantic powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Halflings became a terror of the countryside. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Body Guard arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She now spends her time doing works of charity.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Darrak liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He bought a scimitar and has really upped his game hunting, due to his understanding of decoy and ambush.

History: He was raised in a plains tribe. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Elven activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Elven doctor. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He has since lost track of the people in his past.
