History: Born in the west to a Bookbinder, Spear learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Servant hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by dire rats. Jo was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and she desires to right it; and revenge

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Apothecary responsibilities is difficult; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. When Elegant reached her early adolescence her Tabaxi mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions.
