Description: A middle-aged man, he wears suspenders and white workpants. His shirt is violet, and he wears a heavy white leather apron most of the time, and is pretty ugly. He has a very tight haircut. His eyes are gray and he is always smoking a pipe.
Personality: He will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken his opponents. Despite his formidable combat skills he remains a coward. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Map Maker but believes his peers are too gung-ho.
History: Altho lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Half-Orc companion (his 'brother'). He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature kukri.
Motivation: He has passion for adventuring and risk; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister

Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.
History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. His father took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Personality: She is witty, but her monotone delivery comes off as unnerving She cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.
History: She was born in the west, but her parents moved at a very young age to the south. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Description: He is a husky man, who wears black painted combat armor at almost all times. His blue crest is unkempt and raggedy. His red eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.
Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.
History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Personality: Stoic and calm, she prefers to meditate than take action. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of illithids once and for all.
History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. Valanthe was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the illithids.
Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge; and she wants revenge against illithids

History: He was raised in a island tribe. As a very small child his family refused to pay dues to a local crime lord, who ordered them killed. Judging by the bloodshot nature of her eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine she has not slept for days.
Personality: Nurkara is a sociable creature first and foremost. She loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. She can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. As she has aged she has sought to do reparations for her actions as a youth. She is also making sure that her compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.
History: She comes from a rich western family. She moved out east to avoid the crime she committed. Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.
Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help; and a rival would like her out of the picture

Personality: She runs her personal life as if detached from it. She organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits she will get from it. She works hard and plays hard.
History: When she was but 6 years old her parents immigrated from the south. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Half-Elves in the south were limited. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.
Motivation: A rival would like her out of the picture; and she has comitted a past crime that haunts her to this day
