When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Some 4 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Thiala never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her father had trained her before.

She is a bit of a macho woman and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Half-Elves in Katherine's homeland. Katherine decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard.
