History: She was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Carlin grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Hoshgrish has worked very hard to control his curse. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Elven artifacts is his passion.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Actor arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Ostracized due to the arcane powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Tabaxis became a terror of the countryside. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind.
