History: Born in the east to a Guard, Lia learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She became a Guard soon after.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge; and wants to open a new tavern

History: Gilbert hails from a village terrorized by drow. At a young age his father died while driving off some drow. His mother being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in hand crossbow use. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Gilbert fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.
