History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. During her travels, Vola and her party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Vola discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Vola fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.

History: She was born on a small isolated farm. She found a children's book about a Gnome Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature shortspear.

A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: She loathes her own lifestyle.

History: She was born in the north. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Crown-heir work with an outfit from a few towns over. Crown-heir work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

History: Nim was born with his mother's beautiful face. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Ploughman hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor.
