Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing singing.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. He has had some formal singing training, and achieved minor success. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Personality: She is mildly Human supremacist, though she does not identify as such. She loves being with her children and actually smiles when they are around. She would do anything for them. She dislikes her ex a great deal.

History: Her necromantic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. By chance she met her sister recently and the two have been together since.
