History: Born in the south to a Guard, Elama learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. In her 18th year, her parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Elama alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: She is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. Animals are drawn to her, and she is able to talk to them.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Barber arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: She believes there is no problem she cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. She is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes her no end of embarrassment.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. Her mother was a mechanic, and taught her how to fix just about anything. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

She spends most of her days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There she gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Her childhood dream was to be a Fisher, but she was a colossal failure. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His parents enrolled him in a Sorcerer school at a young age so that he could practice his martial talents. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs
