Personality: She misses her glory days as an athlete. She does not mind her job, but it is boring in comparison. She has a cruel streak; something she gained from her previous mentor. She harbors resentment against her former mentor.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Ruler hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently the stress of being a Bookbinder has made it difficult for her to sleep.

Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: He is wracked by social anxiety; and he wants to meet his childhood hero

History: She comes from a rich western family. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature quarterstaff.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Great was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Through the years after Great was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Great's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. By chance she met her sister recently and the two have been together since.
