Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. After a long history of fighting, Mamnen and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: When she was but 7 years old her parents immigrated from the east. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: To be a Sage again; and she'd like to take her coworkers down a peg

Description: An older man who wears a tight fitting grey shirt and pants, he is not a threatening figure. His hair is cut close to his head. He has gleaming, smiling hazel eyes.

Personality: Prone to second guessing himself, he comes off as nervous. He is harsh and unforgiving.

History: Roland hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He invented a lineage for himself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Tanner arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Gnomish conditions. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world.

Personality: He does not care much for physical appearances, nor does he care much for other people. He does however care about what he wants and getting it. He has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a man enough he will sell his own mother. Money is his most trusted friend.

History: He comes from a rich western family. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and wants to open a new tavern

Description: This younger middle-aged woman is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright tan and grey, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems, and a wedding ring on her right hand. She wears her chestnut hair up. Her eyes are violet and beady.

Personality: She has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. She is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with her big mouthed big gutted partner. Her partner is her best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. She has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a woman enough she will sell her own mother. Money is her most trusted friend.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. The family's rival house kidnapped her sister with the intent that her sister marry their son to gain control of contested properties. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature glaive.

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Ortegar will drive conversation. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Halflings.

History: Ortegar was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Halfling conditions. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
