Through the years after Gerbo was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Gerbo's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In her 18th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Shifting alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
