Upon awakening, Vapula discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Vapula fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.

He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Vlorn and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: The child of northern immigrants she idolized her mother. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Artin grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Artin. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.
