She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.

History: Tree lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He found a children's book about a Tabaxi Cleric who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Volen is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. As a young child she wandered into the woods despite her father's warnings against it. Afterwards she claimed she had encountered goblins who tried to eat her hand. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by goblins.
