Personality: She resents people who mock her appearance or her, so she has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. She cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.
History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Guard. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature lance.
Motivation: She desires power and/or immortality; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.
History: He was born into a rich family. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. After months of barely getting by, Delg managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, he made his way to the capital under a new identity.
Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it; and a rival would like him out of the picture

History: She was raised in a forest tribe. Her father took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. She was granted martial powers by her dying sister.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. Through the years after Tippletoe was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Tippletoe's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Personality: She snorts whenever she laughs or is feeling confident. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Arha is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.
History: Born in the west her family was never financially stable. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Fisher hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
Motivation: An old rival family wants her found; and her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

He is wearing dark clothing and a heavy breastplate, keeping many of his physical features obscured, and his gloved hand is found clutching a halberd. He has a long blonde beard with little hanging trinkets. He wears an eyepatch.
Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He will do just about anything if he becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this he is easily convinced.
History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Efferil was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Efferil decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Personality: She is not truly malevolent, but she is obsessed with painting. She constantly tries to fill her life with painting. To her fellows she is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.
History: Barbena was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Ploughman work with an outfit from a few towns over. Ploughman work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
