History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Aust grew up listening to his mother's many stories. His parents were killed by illithids in a raid when he was still a young child. The illithids captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

Personality: She is mildly Dwarf supremacist, though she does not identify as such. On top of that she is swayed by a pretty face, and while loyalty to her employer will always come first she doesn't like to hit women.

History: She was born on a small isolated farm. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
