History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the east. In his youth he was a Cartwright, and wanted to be a champion fighter when he grew up. He was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives he lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. He saw the brutality and swore off his fighting aspirations, taking his younger brother on his back after seeing his parents die, and fled the country. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Himo is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He was born into a rich family. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: Veloptima wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Wizard, so she tries to act the part. She does a good job, for the most part... She is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He has had some formal dancing training, and achieved minor success. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. A freak accident while working with her Butcher father left her crippled. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: She was born at the edge of vast island. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Sage. She now owns her own business.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He found a children's book about a Tiefling Fighter who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
