History: Bryseis lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Bryseis fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He has a habit of throwing himself into exceedingly dangerous situations.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. Flask liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Claira was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: He was born at the edge of vast plains. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and she is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs
