History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She worked as a nervous Guard and found it very stressful. She has achieved small success as a Guard.

History: Rieta hails from a village terrorized by drow. Her parents were killed by drow in a raid when she was still a young child. The drow captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge; and a deep hatred of drow

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. In her 15th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her mother impaled in their home, and her father beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Shoemaker. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability.
