History: A powerful brothel owner made him what he is. Through the years after Smoking was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Bookbinder hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Herbalist. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.
