When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Ghûra's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls.
