Personality: While she acts the brute, she is far gentler than she would appear. She is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Vani grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Vani. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. History: Born in the south her family was never financially stable. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To settle down with her crush.

Personality: He is a very happy person and has lots of energy. To put it simply, he's a very lovable idiot. He is able to fit into much smaller and tighter spaces than normal.

History: Oppleby was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

She does what she is told to by employers but not much else. She spends her money on whatever she fancies at the time.

History: Eida was born the youngest of three triplets. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Body Guard for hire.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Laucian embodies much of what other species detest in the Elves. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, goblins burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying north to reunite his family. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and to get a good night's sleep

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact.

History: Her necromantic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. She always admired necromantic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.
