History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Hoshû was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing dancing.

History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. His first spouse was a Hunter, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Hunter they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Bricklayer, and he later adopted a second daughter.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Elven companion (his 'brother'). He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Shanairla fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.
