Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Paela isn't afraid of most anything. She has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Halfling unity. She is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. She likes to tell stories.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Paela was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Born in the south to a Guard, Bimpnottin learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Guard for hire.

Motivation: She has a crush on the local Engraver; and balancing her hectic life and new guard responsibilities is difficult
