He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He was granted divine powers by his dying brother.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Ahvain embodies much of what other species detest in the Half-Elves. The war was a terrible time for him, and Ahvain does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his father. Through the years after Ahvain was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Ahvain's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

History: Born in the north to a Soapmaker, Snagog learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. Snagog abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He has worked as a Soapmaker like his father before him.

Personality: She is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. She moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep her interest for a month it is impressive.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Sumnes was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.
