History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Beast was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She always admired martial-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: Halander wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Warrior, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... Halander enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He was raised in a island tribe. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Mardnab grew up listening to her mother's many stories. Mardnab abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.

Personality: She is a Soapmaker first and foremost. She believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. She does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for her. She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: Gifted from a young age, Lone studied abroad. While she appears to be a normal Tabaxi, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Tieflings in the north were limited. She now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Carter and was forced into it by her family; and regain custody of her son

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Further expansion of business; and wants to open a new tavern
