Erdan liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. History: He was born on a small isolated farm. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Through the years after Thorin was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Thorin's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He now owns his own business.
