History: He was born into a rich family. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Stableman they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Unemployed, and he later adopted a second son.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the south were limited. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.

History: Her psionic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Maegan grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Maegan. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. Ostracized due to the necromantic powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Half-Elves became a terror of the countryside. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Armorer arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: Born in the west to a Cartwright, Euron learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He now mingles about in high society.
