History: Gilbert was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Blacksmith hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: She comes from a rich northern family. In her 18th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Anbera alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She now mingles about in high society.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: She is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
